MTR South Island Line (East) Rail Project

Project Description
The MTR 903 project is part of a multi-contract expansion of Hong Kong's Mass Transit Railway system. The project includes two stations linked together by 1400m of precast segmental viaducts.
The South Island Line links Admiralty Station to South Horizons in Ap Lei Chau, with intermediate stations at Ocean Park, Wong Chuk Hang and Lei Tung.
The total project value was $325 USD and connects 90,000 residents on the south side of Hong Kong island to the city's rail system.

Our Role
Hatcher Technical worked with construction engineer McNary Bergeron & Associates to develop integrated shop drawings for the viaduct pier straddle bents.
